This block set is very unique and unexpected. The pieces are a rough plastic, and make a clicking sound when you shake them, which I think is the magnets. The magnetic part is strong enough to hold them together but not so much to make them hard to pull apart. 6 year old played with them nonstop for 3 hours, building multiple different combinations. She came up with various ways to place them to make stairs, a house, beds, etc. They seem to be well made and the colors are bright. In general I think it��s a great gift for pre-k children and older. I think the price point is a bit high for the number of pieces, and it could use more variety and lighted pieces. I think the age of 3+ is too young, the corners are sharp and I think a toddler could hurt themselves if they put it in their mouth as they��re small enough to fit. They did immediately capture her attention and keep it, which is important.

These are fantastic!Very fun and easy for small hands to be creative. My kids are 3 and 7. Both love playing with these.It also came with a pamphlet of different designs you can make.Would definitely buy again
Grandson was so excited to get some. He has them in his Kindergarten class. They get to play with them in the morning (morning bins). In the words of my 6 year old grandson, “All the kids try to get to them first.”
These were a hit and he and his older brother played with them for an hour right after they were opened and spoke about getting more sets.

They have a lot of full-sized ones but these hold together better, and frankly are cuter. They offer more portability as well but they don't have a traveling case like another set we have. The plastic they come in doesn't hold together as well, takes up extra room, and they are hard to get them out of.The kids love to create with these. The directions give some examples of what they can make. Overall, I think it is a good value.
